Where you will work • Patient Bays :18 • Patient Population: • Elective and urgent/emergent surgical patients • Surgeries include ophthalmology including retinal cases orthopedics, and plastics • Culture:Collaborative, supportive, and cohesive • Skill Mix:Experienced nurses with a variety of backgrounds; ED, Med Surg, ICU and LD • Staffing & Ratios: • 6 RNs and 1CNAs per day • Typical ratio: 1:4 • We're Looking For: • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association, ACLS, PALS • Having 1-2 years nursing experience; Med Surg, ED, Peri-Op Experience What You'll Do: • Deliver individualized careusing the nursing process-assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient's needs. • Monitor and respond to changesin patient condition, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes. • Promote patient safetyby implementing risk-reduction strategies and reporting safety events promptly. • Educate patients and families adapting teaching methods to meet unique learning needs and supporting readiness for discharge. • Coordinate care and discharge planningthrough an interdisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity across the healthcare continuum. • Lead and delegate effectively fostering teamwork and supporting unlicensed personnel. • Engage in quality improvement initiativesto enhance patient experience and unit performance. • Maintain professional growththrough ongoing education, competency completion, and participation in shared governance activities.
