What We Offer: • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours), Pre-op schedule is 0615-1445, PACU schedule is 0730-1600. Rotating between the two areas so hours will vary depending on assignment for the day (preop vs PACU). Schedule will be known in advance. M-F, no weekends, no major holidays and no call! Occasional late coverage days assigned. • Department: Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC), preop/PACU opening. • Location: Hawthorne Surgical Center, 1999 South Hawthorne Road, Winston Salem • Unit Info: Some of the common procedures consist of Opthalmology, Pain and Podiatry. Will be cross trained to preop, phase I and phase II recovery. • Requirements: This position requires either preop/PACU, ICU, ED or critical care experience. What We're Looking For: • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. • Current valid North Carolina nursing license or Multi-State/Compact required. • One-year relevant experience, preferred. What You'll Do: The Registered Nurse ASC is expected to work in a primary nursing area for the center. The Registered Nurse ASC is able to function as a team member in an ASC environment through cross-training to other primary areas including but not limited to assisting with turnover, and all other aspects of day-to-day ASC operations. He/she is also responsible for the coordination of the telephone pre-admission assessment process for patients in the ASC environment
