Position Overview - As a Registered Nurse in Preoperative and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), you will play a critical role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. We are looking for professionals who can deliver timely and accurate care to patients undergoing anesthesia procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients upon admission and establish individualized care plans.
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families throughout their care experience.
• Administer medications safely in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment that promotes healing and comfort for patients and their families.
Requirements:
• Nursing diploma/degree from an accredited institution.
• Licensed to practice in the state of Tennessee.
• ACLS certification required (must be obtained within one year if not currently certified).
• A minimum of one year experience in Ambulatory PACU Phase 1 or 2.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and work for up to twelve hours.
• Capable of lifting, positioning, and transporting patients with assistance.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
