Registered Rn Clinical Decision Unit The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Follows established policies and procedures. Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors. Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management and physicians. Applies Cooper core values. Other duties as required. The Clinical Decision Unit is on the first floor of the Kelemen building. We are a locked unit and require a badge to enter or ring the doorbell to be let in. The Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU) is a 35-bed, single-room unit. The patients are typically here for observation or if needed to be admitted as an inpatient they will stay in CDU until a floor bed is available. Multidisciplinary rounds are done Monday Friday. This involves the patient in their care and allows the team members to collaborate with the patient to give them the best possible care and appropriate discharge to home or other facilities. The Express Admit Unit (EXAU) is under the management of the CDU. There are 6-bed areas where the admitted patients stay until a floor bed is available. This gives them privacy and care while waiting for their room to be available. Both CDU and EXAU can have patients on telemetry for cardiac monitoring. 2 years of registered nurse experience is required. Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing. Current NJ-RN license (Registered Nurse) Current American Heart Association BLS certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers); Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e., ACLS, NALS, PALS) Per diem, 7pm-7am, weekends/holidays with rotation. Nurses shall work at least two (2) weekend shifts per six week schedule and one (1) other shift per 6 week schedule. In addition, two (2) holiday shifts per year (one winter and one summer). Weekend shifts are defined as one Friday/one Saturday or one Saturday/one Sunday for night shift and one Saturday/one Sunday for day shift. Nurses must schedule themselves for the full shift, as assigned, in order to meet these work requirements. USD $46.85 - USD $70.81
