Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care (Acute Care Step-down) unit at Presbyterian Hospital, you will have a pivotal role in coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care and patient/family education.

Responsibilities:
The Progressive Care units consist of Acute Medical Step-Down, Cardiac Step-Down, and Neuro Step-Down. In this setting, there are numerous opportunities for RNs to gain leadership experience through roles such as Preceptor, Clinical Practice Leader, Relief Charge, and Quality Improvement positions.

Work Schedule:
0.9 FTE (36 hours/week)
12-hour shifts available for both Days and Nights:
• Night Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am
• Day Shift: 7:00am - 7:00pm

• Acute Medical Step-Down: Provides care for high acuity patients in a culture focused on teamwork, professionalism, and respect.
• Cardiac Step-Down: This unit consists of two areas with 50 beds, delivering specialized care to patients needing telemetry monitoring for cardiovascular disorders.
• Neuro Step-Down: A dedicated team of nurses provide exceptional care within the specialized 29-bed unit for patients recovering from neurosurgery and neurological injuries.

Qualifications:
• Associate Degree in Nursing or higher required. *From an accredited program preferred
• Registered Nurse-NM*State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
• BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.
