Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care for Elders (ACE)
FT - Day Shift (Hours: 7a - 7p) - Weekend & Holidays per department guidelines.

Christiana Care - Wilmington Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our 8S Acute Care for Elders (ACE) Unit.
Responsibilities:
In this role, we work closely to deliver care that supports elderly patients facing an acute illness. The patient population for this unit is older adults, typically aged 70 and above. Our focus is on maintaining function, providing education, and maintaining safety! As a member of the 8S team, you will engage in a true relationship-based care model, building relationships with patients and families as well as with your peers, guided by our values of love and excellence.
Our Nurses will assist in managing a team of 5 medical patients per shift and work with the interdisciplinary team that includes a unit-based Nurse Practitioner, both attending and consulted physicians, pharmacy, physical therapy, and other assistive personnel.
We closely monitor your patients, assessing their physical condition and their safety risks. You will handle emergencies and provide ongoing supportive care. You will receive training in evidence-based care practices for the older adult.

Education & Requirements:
DE RN License or Compact RN License.
BSN or commitment to obtain within three years of hire date.
Preferred: at least one year of RN experience in acute care, such as medical, surgical, or step-down.
BLS required.
Demonstrate a passion for working with older adults
