Key Responsibilities:
• Work Shift: Night Shift (Full-time, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Rapid Patient Assessment & Care: Perform the full nursing process efficiently for patients in a short-stay setting. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care, adapting to diverse populations and partnering with patients/families to set clear, focused goals.
• Care Coordination & Disposition Planning: Coordinate care and documentation to promote safe, quality outcomes with an emphasis on effective discharge planning and preventing unnecessary admissions. Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team for rapid case review and decision-making.
• Exemplary Customer Service: Deliver care with exceptional empathy, positive energy, and customer service skills, upholding the unit's reputation for genuine care in a community-based setting.
• Teamwork & Quality Improvement: Demonstrate fiscally responsible teamwork. Actively participate in and support shared governance, performance improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Professional Leadership: Serve as a preceptor/mentor, modeling professional practice and contributing to a healthy, supportive work environment with a low RN turnover rate.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
• Key skills: Registered Nurse (RN), Acute Care, Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), Short Stay, BLS, Night Shift
• Licensure: Current Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license or Multi-State Compact RN license.
• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Diploma in Nursing, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. BSN preferred.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of RN experience required. Direct patient care experience in an Acute Care, Emergency Department, Observation Unit, Telemetry, or similar fast-paced setting is highly preferred.
• Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, customer service, and empathy skills are essential. Strong critical thinking, analytical, and time-management skills. Must be able to function decisively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies calmly. Basic computer proficiency required.
