• A small, free-standing psychiatric hospital with tight-knit units collaborating to provide essential care to Eastern Connecticut.
• A leading provider for mental health services catering to children, adolescents, and adults with mental illness and substance use disorders.
• A diverse range of programs, including inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services, residential treatment for court-involved teenage girls, geriatric services, clinical day treatment schools, and chemical dependency services.
• Two inpatient units: Pediatric/Adolescent (26 beds) and Adult (33 beds).
• Flexible shift options available, including first, second, and third shifts, each spanning 8 hours.
• Fixed schedules ranging from 8 to 32 hours per week and per diem opportunities.

The Registered Nurse will utilize psychiatric and chemical dependency nursing skills to provide direct care and will play a vital role in the multidisciplinary team approach. You will report to the Nurse Manager or RN Designee, delivering direct care to clients both individually and in group settings. You will serve as a role model to co-workers, spearheading education, program development, treatment planning, and quality improvements.

Qualifications:
• Preferred experience in psychiatric nursing.
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Connecticut.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• Effective leadership and delegation abilities.
• Experience in leading behavioral interventions or managing challenging behaviors.
