Full-time Description A Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct care to residents and is a critical part of the healthcare team. Working as part of a team, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care plans to promote optimal health, safety, and well-being. Schedule: Full-Time, 12 Hour Shifts, Holidays Primary Responsibilities and Duties: • Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents’ health status, including vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms. • Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and other team members to establish goals of care and develop appropriate care strategies. • Regularly reassess resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly, ensuring continuity and responsiveness to changing conditions. • Provide skilled nursing interventions and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established care protocols. • Administer medications, perform wound care, monitor vital signs, and manage medical equipment as needed to support resident health and recovery. • Coordinate with ancillary services, including therapy, dietary, and social services to ensure comprehensive and integrated care delivery. • Educate residents and families on health conditions, treatment options, medication management, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and empowerment. • Provide emotional support, counseling, and advocacy to residents and families facing health challenges, fostering a trust and therapeutic relationship. • Promote preventive health practices and wellness initiatives to optimize resident health and quality of life. • Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in resident medical records. • Participate in care conferences and team meetings to discuss residents’ progress goals, and any changes in condition or care needs. • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents, staff and visitors. • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including registered nurses, physicians, therapists, and social workers, to optimize resident outcomes and promote team work. • Perform all other duties assigned. Requirements Job Qualifications: • Valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where work is performed. • 1 or more years of nursing experience, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting. • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and best practices in long-term care. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Understanding of regulatory requirements governing nursing practices and skilled nursing facilities. • Ability to build rapport with patients through a compassionate and caring demeanor. Physical Requirements: • Work performed in a medical setting due to the need to work directly with residents. • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch, and twist. • Stamina to stand and move about the facility to perform frequent rounds and respond to emergent situations as needed. • Emotional resilience and ability to cope with the physical and emotional demands of working with residents who may have complex healthcare needs. • Capability to lift and transfer residents safely, with proper body mechanics and assistance as needed. • Required vision includes close, vision, distance, peripheral, and the ability to adjust focus. • Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by the department supervisor/manager. • The job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations. • The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without "giving out" or fatiguing. • The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position. • The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. Salary Description $34 - $37 Per Hour
