Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health Adult Emergency Location: Bronx, NY Compensation • Local: $2,415 per week • Travel: $2,903 per week (Compensation may include a combination of taxable wages and non-taxable stipends, as applicable.) Schedule • Shift: 3 × 11.5-hour shifts • Hours per Week: 34.5 • Days: 3 days per week • Requirement: Prior CPEP (psychiatric emergency) experience required Role Overview A large healthcare system is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Emergency RN to provide direct patient care in a high-acuity psychiatric emergency setting. This role demands excellent clinical judgment, crisis intervention expertise, and the ability to manage patients experiencing acute behavioral health emergencies. Key Responsibilities • Deliver direct nursing care to adult behavioral health patients in an emergency setting • Perform crisis assessments, de-escalation, and stabilization interventions • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care • Monitor patient behavior and mental status, intervening as needed • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards • Uphold patient safety, dignity, and confidentiality at all times Required Qualifications • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience • Primary Source Verification required Preferred Qualifications • Experience in Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Programs (CPEP) or Psychiatric Emergency Services • Strong crisis intervention, communication, and de-escalation skills • Ability to function effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity environments For more details reach at Aditi.sharma@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-587-6677.
