What You'll Do As a Center for Behavioral Medicine Registered Nurse, you'll report to the Manager of Patient Care Services. Provides professional nursing services. Assesses patients' needs and initiates, implements, and evaluates individualized plans of care. Collaborates with other professional, clinical, and ancillary staff in providing quality care to patients. Center For Behavioral Medicine RN Job Responsibilities Plan care which includes goals and prioritized nursing approaches/measures derived from the nursing diagnosis. Formulate nursing diagnosis based on accessible, communicable, and recorded data which is collected in a systematic and continuous manner. Assess the patient in a systematic, organized manner. Implement strategies to provide for patient and family participation in health, promotion, maintenance, and restoration. Evaluate with the patient the status of goal achievement as a basis for reassessment, reordering priorities, new goal setting, and revision of the plan of care. Conduct purposeful rounding to assess, evaluate, and anticipate needs. Participate in the review and evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of nursing care. Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared. Complete mandatory education, annual competencies and department-specific education within established timeframes. Complete annual employee health requirements within established timeframes. What You Bring You bring a high level of knowledge and competency in performing nursing care procedures, assessments, treatment, and techniques. As a Registered Nurse, your advanced analytical skills are necessary to solve complex problems and make decisions related to patient care. You demonstrate the interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, visitors, physicians, and others. You demonstrate the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, clearly and concisely. Required Qualifications Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Indiana. Candidates hired after January 1, 2014, must have or obtain a BSN within five (5) years of employment as a Registered Nurse, or will have the option to become certified in their area of specialty. The certification must be maintained based on accrediting body standards.
