
Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Acute - Vineland - Full Time - Nights in Cedar Glen West, NJ
Job Description
An RN on a General Medical/Surgical Unit must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient. The nurse must have knowledge of the principles of growth and development and the emotional needs of the patient and family from early adulthood to the end of the life span. The RN must use this knowledge to assess the physical and emotional needs of the patient/family and develop a plan of care which incorporates these principles. The RN must have the ability to implement the plan, to supervise others with the implementation and assess its effectiveness. The RN must be knowledgeable of the policy and procedures of the department and delegate appropriate procedures and supervise their implementation by others. The RN is responsible for the coordination of the patient’s care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
• You must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position. * BSN or MSN graduates preferred
• *Grandfathered Exemption of Educational Requirement:
• Hired on or before May 31, 2013 -- IMC
• Hired on or before August 4, 2015 – IMCW
• Hired on or before May 31, 2023 – IMCM
• High quality of nursing competence and basic leadership skills.
Certification/Licensure:
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with current licensure in the State of New Jersey.
• BLS required. ACLS and Critical Care Course required within 12 months of hire.
• Dysrhythmia course required within 6 months of hire.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred.
• 8 hours of stroke education required annually
Physical Requirements:
• Mental capacity to perform responsibilities.
• Able to walk briskly, stand and lean over.
• Able to lift moderate weight.
• Has quick reaction to prevent injury to patient or self.
• Able to perform duties listed in LPN-N/A job description when necessary.
