USPI provides first-class surgical services for local communities throughout U.S. and recognizes our employees are our number one assets Mayfield Surgery Center is seeking a qualified Pre-Op/PACU RN to administer diligent care to outpatients via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment. The Pre-OP/PACU/Pain Management RN will provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local. THIS IS A PRN POSITION AND REQUIRES FLEXIBILITY TO THE NEEDS OF THE FACILITY. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required Skills EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current Ohio Nursing License Current BLS, ACLS and PALS Minimum of 2 years CRITICAL CARE, EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT or PACU EXPERIENCE Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed Excellent teaching skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees. (TEAMWORK) Strong customer service skills (AIDET) Demonstrate accountability, creativity, innovation and be receptive to change Possess basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology Required Experience Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred. * Minimum 2 years of critical care experience to include areas of ICU, PACU, ED, IR, EP, CATH LAB or related procedural care.
