Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Location: 10628 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210 Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | 5 x 8-hour shifts (40 hours/week) Position Summary Atrium Health Pineville is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to provide high-quality, patient-centered perioperative nursing care. The RN Clinical Nurse I delivers professional nursing services through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in alignment with departmental policies, procedures, and evidence-based practice standards. This role supports cardiovascular surgical services and requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment. Key Responsibilities • Provide professional nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room in accordance with established standards and protocols. • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and analyze data to identify actual or potential health problems. • Develop and implement individualized plans of care to achieve expected patient outcomes. • Coordinate care delivery and collaborate with physicians, surgical teams, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals. • Delegate appropriate elements of care to qualified healthcare personnel in accordance with legal and policy guidelines. • Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans as needed. • Promote patient safety, infection control, and a safe surgical environment. • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team. • Integrate evidence-based practice, research findings, and quality improvement initiatives into clinical practice. • Demonstrate cultural competence and ethical nursing practice. • Participate in shared governance and professional development activities. Required Qualifications • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. • Current RN license in North Carolina or eligibility through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association). • Primary Source Verification required. • CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience required.
