Clinic Registered Nurse Position
This position is filled by a registered nurse who, as a result of educational and clinical experience, possesses the advanced knowledge and clinical skills necessary to provide expert nursing care; applies expert knowledge to act as a change agent, role model and leader; ensures quality focused and cost-effective care delivery outcomes; functions within a collaborative practice to enhance quality of care and participates in continuous quality improvement activities.
Responsible and accountable for direct patient care and providing leadership within the nursing team. Responsible and accountable for the care given to the patient and for the decision regarding which nursing tasks can be safely delegated to licensed and unlicensed persons involved in patient care. Responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing care and promoting a team effort among co-workers. Responsible and accountable to know, own and energize the vision, mission, values and standards of the hospital.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. ADN required, BSN or MSN preferred.
Licensure: Current Arkansas or Compact State RN license in good standing.
Experience: Willing to train recent RN graduate. Previous clinic experience desired.
Certifications: BLS required.
Other: Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer knowledge required.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without an accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions. Ability to stand and walk, bend, stoop and twist up to or exceeding 8-10 hours during shift(s). Occasionally requires lifting of 50 pounds or more of equipment. Able to push in excess of 150 pound wheelchair with patient. Occasionally lifts patients with assist 125 pounds or more. Spends eight hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse. Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations of CPR and obtaining equipment. Must be able to handle highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.
Safety Sensitive Designation:
This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.
