Position Summary
The NICU Registered Nurse Charge RN provides professional, compassionate nursing care to neonates within our Level III NICU. This role coordinates care planning with the multidisciplinary team and renders individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs. The RN systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to support optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide safe, evidence-based care to critically ill infants.
• Act as a clinical leader by assessing, planning, delegating, and using independent judgment to direct other healthcare team members.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in hourly rounding and follow safety guidelines and best practices.
