The RN Clinical Supervisor models and develops patient-focused culture with an emphasis on patient safety and satisfaction. They also maintain a positive and collaborative relationship within the clinical environment by coaching, developing, and empowering staff. The RN Clinical Supervisor serves as a clinical expert within the scope of the practice and program guidelines.Essential Functions: Manages day-to-day supervision of the clinical delivery of services Plan, implement and administer programs and services, including personnel administration, training, and coordination of medical, nursing, and practice staffAppropriately trains new staff on clinical and administrative duties and trains current staff on procedures or equipment, as needed Provides input regarding associate performance evaluations, delivers performance feedback and coaching to clinical staff to assist with workflow improvement/efficiency Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly Provides oversight for scheduling and timekeeping Other duties as assignedEducation:Associate of Nursing, nursing (required)Diploma in Nursing (required)Bachelor's of Science, nursing (preferred)
Licensure/Certification:Must possess both of the followingActive Registered Nurse (RN) licensureBasic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred)Experience:Two years of nursing experience within a healthcare setting, preferably within a physician practice (required)Pediatric Nursing Experience (preferred)Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience (required)Skills & Abilities:Demonstrates leadership competencies and skills for the position, including excellent communication, customer service, continuous quality improvement, relationship development, and decision makingPossesses extensive knowledge of clinical practice or function and a thorough understanding of the organization and work environmentKnowledge of contemporary nursing practice and future innovations Nursing judgment and skill based on principles of the biological, physical, behavioral, and social sciencesApplication of the nursing process in patient care deliveryCoordination of patient care deliveryEvaluation of professional nursing practice to optimize goals and outcomesHealth teaching and health promotion Patient advocacy and partnership Interprofessional collaboration and leadership Understanding and utilization of office and clinical technologiesCompassionate, relationship-based approach to help find meaning in illness, suffering, pain, and existence Integration of quality improvement, evidence-based practices and research in practice Accountability for professional actions Effective stewardship of available resourcesConflict management and resilience Authority for delegating activities to others, while remaining responsible and accountable for outcomesBon Secours is an equal opportunity employer.As a associate, you’re part of a Mission that matters.
