Work Schedule:
90% FTE, day/evening shift. Operational hours of the Cath Lab/EP lab are 6:00am to 7:00pm. On-call responsibilities for off hours, include weekends and holidays with a 30-minute response time. We offer a competitive starting pay; relevant work experience will be considered. Hours may vary depending on department need. You will primarily work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse:
Be an integral member of a talented multidisciplinary team working together to deliver quality care to primarily adults to geriatric patients, undergoing cardiovascular procedures and diagnostic cardiac catheterization in our cath lab at the University Hospital in Madison, WI.
Practicing environment that focuses on patient and family centered care.
Be highly engaged in inquiring new skills and integrating evidence-based nursing practices into the unit culture.
Encourage to participate in shared governance, with a unit-based council, to help support and drive quality improvement initiatives, and lead practice change.
Preferred candidates have 3+ years inpatient ICU level nursing experience or prior cath lab nursing experience.

QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Nursing PreferredWork Experience
6 months of relevant clinical nursing experience Required
Specific to EP Lab- Previous moderate sedation experience Required
Additional years of relevant clinical nursing experience Preferred
Prior involvement in clinical procedures in area of specialty, including successful work or involvement in other hospital-wide project work Preferred
Experience in an academic medical setting Preferred
Specific to Gastro/Endo & Generations - Previous moderate sedation experience Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months Required
Certification in area of specialty Preferred
