Job Summary of Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Care:

Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehab Center, a facility that accommodates 120 beds and has recently undergone renovations alongside welcoming a fresh management team, is on the lookout for a dedicated RN Supervisor to spearhead nursing operations. The chosen individual must be capable of organizing staff placement and overlooking the delivery of nursing care to ensure the provision of high-quality and empathetic services that resonate with the unique objectives of residents. This position offers flexibility in terms of shifts, with the possibility of either 8 or 12-hour schedules, in addition to appealing benefits like Aetna health insurance that commences from the first day of the month post recruitment, featuring a potential sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 for eligible schedules.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Care:
• Manage, supervise, and lead unit functions and staff duties, displaying clinical competency congruent with nursing practice guidelines.
• Identify and react promptly and effectively to the needs of individuals under care.
• Monitor and document vital signs, treatments given, and patient responses.
• Provide medications and treatments as directed.
• Regularly update team members, residents, families, and medical staff on ongoing activities, concerns, and pertinent information.
• Carry out disciplinary actions in compliance with organizational regulations.
• Cooperate with cross-functional teams, physicians, and external suppliers.
• Complete nursing appraisals post incidents or variations in the resident's well-being.
• Assume the leadership role during crises like fire alarms going off and the elopement of individuals under our care.
• Maintain precise nursing logs, staffing assignments, and demographic registers.

Qualifications and Experience of Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Care:
• NY State RN license currently registered and in good order.
• It is desirable for applicants to have familiarity with working with geriatric, short-term rehabilitation, or Alzheimer's patients.
• Incremental nursing background with a preference for supervisory roles.
• Committed to delivering compassionate and excellent care.
• Patient, collaborative, and ready to provide support to residents and coworkers.
• Proficient in communication, interpersonal relations, customer care, and organizational aptitude.
• Being able to thrive under pressure, show flexibility, and work in harmony with all coworkers are key competencies.
• Encouragement is given for COVID-19 vaccinations, although they are not compulsory; individuals can access vaccination based on CDC advice.
