Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department Augusta, Georgia Night Shift (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM) Contract Opportunity Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role requires rapid assessment skills, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to respond effectively to urgent and critical situations. Key ResponsibilitiesEmergency & Patient Care • Perform rapid assessments, triage, and prioritize patient care needs • Deliver evidence-based emergency nursing care • Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes • Ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care Communication & Collaboration • Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams • Keep patients and families informed and involved in care decisions • Participate in bedside reporting and emergency response protocols Safety & Quality • Maintain compliance with safety standards and clinical protocols • Support performance improvement and patient safety initiatives • Ensure accurate and timely documentation Professional Practice • Maintain required competencies and continuing education • Uphold ethical, legal, and professional nursing standards • Support a collaborative and respectful work environment Schedule & Work Environment • Night Shift: 12-hour shifts • Rotating days based on department needs • On-call as required • Every other weekend required • Holiday rotation required • High-acuity, fast-paced emergency department Required Qualifications • Active RN license (single state or compact) • BLS certification (required) • ACLS certification (required or within 180 days) • PALS certification (required or within 180 days) • TNCC certification (required or within 18 months) • Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred) • Emergency or direct patient care experience preferred Core Skills & Competencies • Strong triage and emergency response skills • Ability to remain calm and decisive in critical situations • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities • Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment BI01 Job Type: Contract Pay: $48.00 - $52.00 per hour Expected hours: 36 per week Benefits: • Health insurance • Referral program Experience: • Emergency Room: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: • TNCC Certification (Required) Work Location: In person
