Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department – Full-time 7P – MAGNET, Level I Trauma Center Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are better + togetherWork location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3 x 12 hours shifts, 7 pm – 7 am Department Highlights100-bed Marion Emergency Care, 75,000 square foot Level I Trauma center For minor care needs, the ED offers a Quick Care area designed to expedite care and patient experience. Those requiring more extensive workups will be taken to one of the diagnostic rooms.Patients with critical injuries or illnesses are treated in one of 22 Emergent Care rooms, including three resuscitation rooms for the most severe trauma cases. Here’s what you needNursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferredCLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency requiredCurrent RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire requiredBCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly requiredACLS – within 90 days requiredPALS – within 90 days requiredTNCC or ATCN – within 12 months of hire requiredCPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program requiredCurrent ED strongly preferred - will consider ICU/PCU and Tele experience In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patientspossess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalismhave basic computer skills using medical management application systemsWhat You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate
• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
