Registered Nurse (RN) Fellow Postpartum Unit- Rotating in Forest Heights, MD

Inova Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) Fellow to join the Postpartum Unit. Registered Nurse (RN) Fellow Minimum Qualifications:Work schedule: Full-time Rotating Shift: 3x12 hour shifts per week. Holidays are linked into groups, with staff assigned to one group each year. The groups will rotate annually. Additionally, staff are required to work 4 weekend shifts within each 6-week schedule.Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.Experience: Required 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, for Critical Care units, 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship. Preferred: Two years of recent experience on an inpatient postpartum unit.Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start | For Critical Care Units: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - Within 6 Months | For Pediatric Units: Pediatric Advanced Life Support- Within 6 Months | For Infusion Center Units: Obtain chemo card- within 3 months of hireLicensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)Recent inpatient Registered Nurse experience We are Inova, Northern Virginia’s leading nonprofit healthcare provider.
