Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Float Pool at the Woodwinds Hospital located in Woodbury, MN.
The Float Pool RN will float to a variety of units including Med/Surg, Orthopedics, Oncology, Telemetry, ICU and/or ED! This unique department is a specialty group comprised of highly skilled experts that support patient care throughout the hospital. Woodwinds Health Campus opened its 86-bed hospital in August 2000. Located on 30 acres of pristine wetlands in Woodbury, MN, it’s the only hospital in the Southeast Metro area. Woodwinds provides convenient, comprehensive, and quality health care for the community. Schedule: This position will be working a 0.75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks) working 12 hour shifts, on the Night shift, with an every third weekend rotation and a holiday rotation.

- Acute care experience, telemetry experience, and critical thinking skills are all important to be successful in this position.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
- Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
- Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
- Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
- Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
- Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
- MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Heart Assoc) depending on the unit and patient population
- 1 year of RN Experience
