Location: Avera Sacred Heart Hospital Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Primarily days with night, weekend and holiday on-call involvement Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $48.50, depending on experience. Position Highlights Hours: 8-hour shifts with a call/weekend/holiday rotation; typically, 4-5 shifts per week. A Brief Overview As a Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing care that includes assessing patient conditions, developing care plans, and supporting patients and families through their health journey. What You Will Do • Deliver patient care by collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members, ensuring clear communication of nursing care plans. • Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories and documenting patient conditions. • Instruct patients and families on understanding conditions, medications, and self-care. • Evaluate and adjust patient care based on ongoing assessments and therapeutic standards. • Maintain a safe and healthy environment by adhering to infection control policies and procedures. • Document all patient care accurately in medical records. • Ensure equipment is maintained and operational for patient care needs. • Manage inventory of patient care supplies and anticipate future needs. • Continue to develop nursing skills and competencies as directed by leadership. Essential Qualifications The individual must possess the ability to communicate effectively and work the hours specified. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Preferred Experience: • 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting.
