As a School-based Registered Nurse RN in Harvey, Louisiana, you will play a vital role in supporting student health, safety, and academic success within a school setting. Minimum Requirements
• Active Louisiana Registered Nurse RN license in good standing
• Associate Degree in Nursing ASN or Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN from an accredited program
• Previous nursing experience preferred, including school nursing, pediatric, or community health experience
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, with ability to meet state and district health requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Provide daily nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and follow-up for illness or injury
• Administer medications and manage chronic health conditions according to physician orders and district protocols
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and district health regulations
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student wellness and safety
• Promote health education, preventative care, and emergency preparedness within the school environment
