Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Geriatric Care (Supporting Our Veterans) Location: 795 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025 (VA Community Living Center) Setting: State-of-the-art Geriatric Care & Long-Term Care Schedule: Full-Time | 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts available Serve Those Who Served Are you a Registered Nurse with a passion for geriatric care and a desire to give back to the Veteran community? Medix is currently seeking RNs to join the nursing team at the VA Community Living Center in Menlo Park. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care that meets the clinical standards of a top-tier civilian treatment facility while navigating the unique needs of our nation’s heroes. The Role at a Glance: • Geriatric Specialty: Provide a full range of nursing care specifically for elderly Veterans within a community living center environment. • Clinical Excellence: Ensure all care meets or exceeds national standards set by The Joint Commission (TJC) and the American Hospital Association (AHA). • Team Leadership: Work effectively with a team of LPNs and clinical staff to ensure essential continuity of care. • Patient Advocacy: Serve as a strong advocate for Veteran patients, ensuring their rights and complex long-term care needs are respected. • Data Stewardship: Safeguard sensitive Veteran information (PII/PHI) using approved federal security tools and protocols. Flexible Scheduling: The facility operates 24/7. RNs must be available for various shift lengths (8, 10, or 12 hours) within these windows: • Mornings: 07:00 AM – 03:30 PM (or similar) • Mid-Day/Evening: 10:30 AM – 07:00 PM (or similar) • Nights: 03:30 PM – 12:00 AM What You Bring to the Team: • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience. • Licensure: A current, unblemished Registered Nursing (RN) license. • Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • Geriatric Expertise: Proven experience in long-term care, community living centers, or specialized geriatric facilities. • Tech-Savvy: Ability to navigate complex VA computer systems for clinical documentation and administrative tracking. • Linguistic Precision: Advanced proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English is mandatory for patient safety. • Integrity: A high level of ethical conduct and a security-first mindset regarding patient privacy.
