About this Job: Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Intermediate Care where your professional nursing skills will shine. You will be a critical care provider, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients throughout their journey from admission to discharge. Collaborating with patients and their families, you’ll provide evidence-based nursing care while coordinating with a dynamic interdisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities: • Help achieve department goals while adhering to policies, procedures, and quality standards. • Collect and analyze comprehensive patient information regarding their physical, psychological, and socio-cultural needs. • Deliver personalized, relationship-based care that is accountable and efficient, following the nursing process. • Identify complex patient problems and implement timely interventions based on your assessments. • Incorporate research and evidence-based practices into your patient care for enhanced safety and quality. • Act as a patient advocate by communicating clinical concerns and ethical issues promptly to your colleagues. • Practice within legal boundaries while recognizing and addressing ethical dilemmas in nursing. • Customize care plans to address both short and long-term goals, utilizing various educational resources for patients and families. • Communicate information regarding patient status effectively in both written and verbal formats. • Ensure a safe therapeutic environment by recognizing and acting on safety issues promptly. • Demonstrate leadership by prioritizing tasks and delegating appropriately as required. • Utilize problem-solving skills to address clinical scenarios, consulting with other healthcare professionals when necessary. • Contribute to evaluating patient progress and adjusting care plans accordingly. • Assist in discharge planning by identifying patient and family needs before discharge. • Commit to lifelong learning and professional development through independent resource identification. • Support organizational goals and actively participate in community outreach. • Engage in multidisciplinary teams focused on quality improvement and service enhancement. Requirements: • Education: Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred with a commitment to enroll within 12 months and complete within 4 years of hire. • Experience: 1-2 years of RN experience required. • Licenses and Certifications: • RN state licensure or Compact state licensure is required. • CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross within 90 days is mandatory. • Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification (C-EFM) required for relevant nurses within specified time frames. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Basic math, verbal, and written communication skills. • Competency in basic computer applications. This role offers a competitive pay range of USD $37.50 - USD $54.92 per hour.
