The Registered Nurse - Seasonal, using critical thinking skills, coordinates and provides safe, quality care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Assists in organizing patient care activities as assigned.

St. Marys Medical Center (SMMC), part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 420-bed acute care hospital in West Palm Beach. The hospital has been serving Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast for more than 80 years.SMMC is a Level 1 Trauma Center, a state-designated Pediatric Trauma Referral Center, certified Comprehensive Stoke Center, and has a level III NICU. Pediatric services are provided at the Palm Beach Childrens Hospital at St. Marys Medical Center, which is the only dedicated childrens hospital between Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando. Minimum Requirements
• Education: Graduate of Registered Nurse Program
• Experience: None
• License: REGISTERED NURSE
• Certifications:
• BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
• Pass EKG test within 180 days of hire
• Inexperienced (Novice or new to L&D):
• ACLS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN) - WITHIN 180 DAYS OF HIRE
• NRP (AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS - WITHIN 90 days
• AWHONN INTERMEDIATE FETAL MONITORING Course- WITHIN 9 months
• Experienced (>1 year OB experience within last 5 years)
• ACLS at hire
• NRP at hire
• Proof of current AWHONN Intermediate fetal heart monitoring course at hire or one of following:
• AWHONN FHM Advanced course
• AWHONN FHM Simulation (FHMSIM) Intermediate level
• C-EFM (NCC-Electronic FM)
