Registered Nurse (RN) - Med / Surg 5 IMC in Minneapolis, MN

Position Overview Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Med / Surg 5 Intermediate Care Unit at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center – West Bank Campus in Minneapolis, MN. The Med / Surg IMC RN will care for adult patients with sophisticated medical conditions that require close observation, monitoring, and interventions. This unit, with 24 beds, handles a mixture of Med / Surg and Intermediate Care patients with a care delivery ratio of 3 patients per RN in IMC and 4-5 in Med / Surg assignments. Key Responsibilities • Conduct ongoing assessments as determined by patient condition and hospital policies. • Establish and implement nursing care plans through assessment, development, activation, evaluation, and discharge. • Prioritize, delegate, and oversee duties of other staff members as a team leader. • Maintain confidentiality regarding patients, families, and facility matters. • Deliver care tailored to the developmental and cultural needs of the patient population. • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
