Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing excellent patient care and guaranteeing successful patient results by utilizing nursing knowledge in a caring and effective manner. Working under broad supervision, this position encourages professional nursing standards by managing patient care through the nursing process and cooperation with multiple healthcare disciplines.
Responsibilities:
Evaluates patient necessities and health conditions within the allocated unit, aiming to provide direct nursing care that addresses each patient's unique needs effectively.
Assimilates patient details, such as healthcare background, diagnostic reports, and present health condition, to formulate individualized nursing care strategies.
Conducts nursing processes, including medication administration and treatments, to deliver optimal patient care.
Ensures that medical documentation is accurate and complies with regulatory standards and internal policies.
Examines patient reactions to interventions and recognizes any further interventions needed to achieve specified care objectives.
Works jointly with an interdisciplinary care team to devise and execute efficient care strategies.
Completes additional assignments as specified.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
• Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
• 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
• 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
