
Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg Unit - Weekend Shift in Luverne, MN

Pay Range: The pay range for this position is between $32.00 - $48.00, depending on experience.
Position Highlights:
• 12-hour shifts from 3a-3p or 3p-3a on weekends
• Potential eligibility for a $6000 sign-on bonus
Student Loan Repayment: This nursing position may qualify for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you manage your student loans by making an additional payment of $167 monthly (up to $10,000) towards your principal balance.

A Brief Overview: As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support, and ensuring that patients, families, and friends understand medical conditions and self-care practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality patient care based on physician prescriptions and communicate care plans with the healthcare team.
• Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, and documenting conditions.
• Educate patients and families on health care needs and self-care skills.
• Evaluate care outcomes, re-assess care plans, and modify as necessary.
• Maintain a safe patient environment by adhering to infection control protocols and organizational policies.
• Document patient care accurately in health records.
• Ensure patient care equipment is operational and well-stocked.
• Stay current in nursing competencies as outlined by leadership.
Essential Qualifications:
• Must be able to work the specified hours and perform essential job functions successfully.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are necessary.
Required Education and Experience:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state of practice required at time of hire.
Preferred Experience:
• 1-3 years of clinical experience is preferred.
