Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Observation Unit FT Day Shift - (Hours: 7a -7p) Weekend & Holidays - per the department's guidelines. Wilmington, DE ChristianaCare is excited to announce the opening of a new Medical Observation Unit at Wilmington Hospital. We are currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team in a full-time day shift position from 7 AM to 7 PM. Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays in accordance with department guidelines. Unit Information: The 3 Medical Observation Unit (3MOU) is an 8-bed unit dedicated to the care of adult medical patients admitted under observation status. Common diagnoses include ruling out stroke, syncope, and chest pain—conditions necessitating further evaluation and testing beyond the Emergency Department. Key details about the unit: - Dynamic, fast-paced environment with high patient turnover. - Average length of stay typically between 12-32 hours. - Patients requiring inpatient care will be transitioned to the appropriate inpatient unit. - Opportunities for cross-training on 3 West, Wilmington Hospital’s 9-bed cardiac care unit, which focuses on short-stay patients with primary cardiac diagnoses. Education & Experience Requirements: • DE RN license or Compact RN license. • BSN preferred or the commitment to obtaining a BSN within 3 years date of hire. • All applicants must have two years of RN experience. Acute care or sub-acute care experience is preferred. • BLS required. Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
