Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse.
Set up and assist with clinics, which include general practice clinic, gynecology clinic, dental clinic, dermatology clinic, and when needed psychiatric clinic.
Makes regular patient rounds to observe and assess patients' physical conditions and behaviors, evaluates the quality of care provided, and ensures proper documentation of treatment. * Conduct intake and/or admission of new residents, initiate medical charts, set up residents for lab and x-ray work. * Supervised indirectly by the RN-Assistant Director of Nursing and directly by a RN Supervisor A.
- Work with other Registered Nurses and medical personnel. * Work for (support) patients who are incarcerated in the state's female penitentiary.
A job appointment is a temporary job lasting up to four years; however, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment. * This position may also be filled as a probational appointment if a non-temporary position becomes available in the recruitment process. * If filled by probation, a permanent classified LA State employee, if selected, may be required to accept a probational appointment.
Career Progression Group: REGISTERED NURSE 1, 2, or 3 * Registered Nurse 1 has an SER of $29.84 per hour * Registered Nurse 2 has an SER of $31.93 per hour * Registered Nurse 3 has an SER of $34.17 per hour A rate of $5.00 per hour for each hour worked, in addition to regular pay.
