Location: Avera Specialty Hospital-Sioux Falls Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays Pay Range: $32.00 - $48.00 (Actual pay rate dependent upon experience) Position Highlights Join us and you may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000! Enjoy 12-hour shifts with a day/night rotation and a schedule that requires working every 4th weekend and holiday. We are looking for a dedicated professional for a part-time position of 24 hours per week. Why Avera? A Brief Overview As a Registered Nurse, you will provide exceptional nursing care while supporting patients and their families with physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs. You will assess patient conditions, create care plans, and evaluate outcomes, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Your Responsibilities Include: • Delivering patient care by communicating nursing plans and collaborating with the healthcare team, providing necessary support to patients and their families. • Creating nursing care plans based on medical histories and examinations, identifying patient needs and establishing care objectives. • Educating patients and families about healthcare goals, medications, and self-care skills, while addressing their questions and concerns. • Monitoring patient care and making necessary adjustments to care plans based on ongoing assessments and evaluations. • Ensuring a safe patient care environment by following infection-control protocols and legal regulations. • Documenting patient care activities accurately and maintaining patient care equipment in proper working order. • Proactively managing patient care supplies to ensure readiness for service. • Continuously improving nursing skills as outlined by leadership. Essential Qualifications To perform this role effectively, you must meet specific visual and auditory requirements and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Required Education, License/Certification: • Active RN license issued by the Board of Nursing in the state of practice upon hire. Preferred Experience: • 1-3 years in a clinical environment.
