Status/FTE: TPD / 0.2 FTEShift length: 12 hoursStart Time: Variable shiftsUnit: Med/SurgSchedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Minimum of 12 shifts per 12 weeks or 3-month evaluation period. Including Two (2) weekend shifts (may be non-consecutive) per three (3) month evaluation period. Also, two (2) holidays per year to include one (1) winter and one (1) summer holiday. Required qualifications:Current state RN licenseAssociate’s degree from an accredited nursing schoolBLS for Healthcare Provider upon hireACLS and NIHSS within three (3) months of hireOne (1) year of acute care experience Preferred qualifications:BSN preferredTwo (2) to Three (3) years of acute care experienceMed/Surg certification Additional Information/Department information: The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of acute patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
