Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Orthopedics (with $7,500 Completion Bonus) Job Summary The Med Surg Ortho Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and those with musculoskeletal conditions. This role involves managing post-operative care, pain control, mobility assistance, and patient education while ensuring adherence to safety and infection control standards. Key Responsibilities • Deliver direct patient care for orthopedic and general medical-surgical patients. • Monitor vital signs, surgical sites, and neurovascular status; promptly report changes. • Administer medications, pain management therapies, and IV fluids as prescribed. • Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and physical therapy exercises. • Educate patients and families on post-operative care, discharge instructions, and rehabilitation plans. • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). • Collaborate with surgeons, physical therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize recovery. • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control, and safety standards. Qualifications • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing). • Licensure: Current RN license in [State]. • Certifications: BLS – Required; ACLS – Preferred; ONC – Preferred. • Experience: Minimum 1 year of Med Surg or orthopedic nursing experience preferred.
