City/State Elizabeth City, NC Work Shift First (Days) Overview:
Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a flexi/prn Registered Nurse for the Medical Telemetry Unit to work on an as needed basis.
Hours/Shift:
Flexi/PRN, Night Shift Our Medical Telemetry is 2 units in one.
The unit is comprised of 24 beds; 17 beds of medical telemetry patients, and 7 bed for stroke/neuro patients .
The unit takes care of adults with stroke rule out, TIA, CVA, syncope, COPD, CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and other acute problems needing telemetry monitoring.
BLS is required, ACLS preferred, telemetry knowledge preferred but will be taught if unknown, NIHSS required (or will be taught).
Education Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required) Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (preferred) Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program.
Certification/Licensure Registered nursing License (required) Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License.
BLS required within 90 days of hire ACLS (preferred) Experience None required 1 year of acute care (preferred) Previous healthcare experience (preferred) Telemetry knowledge (preferred) Keywords:

In 2022, Sentara broke ground on a new campus, a state-of-the-art 88-bed hospital to replace the current 60-year-old facility on North Road Street.
The 135-acre campus, coming out of the ground at Halstead Boulevard Extended and Thunder Road, will be known as the Sentara Albemarle Regional Health Campus.
It is projected to cost about $200 million, up from the original estimate of $158 million, due to sharp spikes in costs for building materials and medical equipment.
