Hartford Hospital is actively hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for our Critical Care Nursing Units. Experienced nurses are welcome and encouraged to apply. This posting is on Bliss 11 ICU, the Medicine Intensive Care Unit is a 16-bed unit that provides care to patients with a wide range of complex, highly acute medical issues utilizing a variety of advanced technologies and devices including CRRT and ECMO. These issues include but are not limited to; respiratory failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver injury/failure, kidney injury/failure, sepsis, and drug and alcohol withdrawal. Under the supervision of a Critical Care Pulmonologist, the unit is staffed 24 hours-a-day with a team of Physician Assistants and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses. Qualifications Qualifications • Current Connecticut RN License. • Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN Required). • BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire. • Minimum one year acute care Registered Nurse experience strongly preferred. • In exceptional circumstances, experienced RNs with an ADN/ASN who are currently in pursuit of a BSN or MSN may be considered. • Graduate Nurses are encouraged to apply through the Critical Care Graduate Nurse Program.
