Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg - R8 in Urbana, IL

**Overview:** As a Registered Nurse (RN) on our Medical-Surgical unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to a diverse range of patients. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, while maintaining a focus on patient safety and satisfaction. **Responsibilities:** • Performs all responsibilities and duties required by the unit, including implementing procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice • Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to assure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team • Develops and implements individualized care plans, takes responsibility for patient and employee safety, and communicates effectively with the healthcare team • Delegates patient care tasks to assigned HCTs and validates completion of delegated tasks throughout the shift • Completes and documents basic RN patient care activities, including assessments, interpretation of vital signs, and patient education • Maintains a positive attitude and promotes a healthy work environment and a healing patient environment • *Qualifications:** • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA) • Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) • College Diploma • Other Knowledge/Skills: + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment + Strong communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities + Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations and technologies • *Benefits:** Carle Health offers a comprehensive benefits package for team members and providers, including: • Competitive compensation range: $35.22 per hour - $60.58 per hour • Comprehensive benefits package • Opportunities for growth and development • Supportive and inclusive work environment • Flexible scheduling and work-life balance • Opportunities for professional development and certification • Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance • And more
