Registered Nurse (RN) – Mobile Wound Care

Job Summary
WoundWorx is seeking a skilled and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our mobile wound care team serving patients in Prince George’s County and Charles County, Maryland. This role involves in-person patient visits, wound care support, documentation, and coordination under provider direction.
The RN will complete approximately 3–4 patient visits per day, supporting wound care, lymphedema, and related services in home and facility-based settings. This is a field-based clinical role, not remote and not telehealth.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Wound Care (Under Provider Orders)
• Perform wound assessments, measurements, and photography
• Provide wound care treatments per plan of care (dressings, compression, NPWT dressing changes)
• Apply silver nitrate per provider order and competency
• Monitor wound progression and report changes to the provider
• Assist with patient education on wound care and supplies
Care Coordination
• Coordinate labs, wound cultures, imaging, home health referrals, and DME orders
• Communicate with providers regarding clinical changes and follow-up needs
• Support continuity of care across home health agencies and vendors
Documentation & Compliance
• Complete accurate, timely documentation in CharmHealth EMR
• Ensure wound documentation meets Medicare and billing standards
• Upload photos, measurements, and visit notes per policy
• Maintain HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions
Quality & Operations
• Participate in quality assurance activities
• Support workflow improvements and care coordination processes
• Maintain required competencies and training documentation
Required Qualifications
• Active RN license in Maryland (DC or Compact acceptable if eligible)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in:
• Wound care
• Home health
• Long-term care
• Skilled nursing or hospice
• Familiarity with wound staging, dressing selection, and documentation
• Understanding of Medicare documentation requirements
• Strong time management and communication skills
• Ability to travel locally and conduct 3–4 visits per day
• Comfort working independently in the field with provider support
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior wound care experience strongly preferred
• Experience with compression therapy and lymphedema patients
• Familiarity with DME coordination and supply workflows
• Wound care certification or training (WOCN, CWCN, CLWT) a plus
