Registered Nurse (RN) - Mother Baby in Grandview Heights, OH

**Title** Registered Nurse - Postpartum • *Schedule** - 3 x 12-hour shifts; 12 nights every other week (36 hours/week) • *Assignment Details** - 40-bed postpartum unit within the OSU hospital system • *Requirements** - Minimum 2 years postpartum nursing experience - Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience required - IV start skills required - EPIC charting experience required - BLS certification - IV certification (must demonstrate IV start competency) - Clinical skills in postpartum and newborn care, couplet care, IV starts/maintenance, medication & blood administration, telemetry interpretation, postpartum hemorrhage management, newborn hypoglycemia/thermoregulation, breastfeeding support, NAS care • *Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns, including NAS infants and postpartum readmits - Assist with vaginal and C-section deliveries, including assessments and care for complications such as postpartum hemorrhage - Support breastfeeding and provide education on infant care - Monitor and assess maternal and infant health, recognizing and responding to any complications • *Compliance / Notes** - COVID-19 vaccine: Not required - Flu vaccine: Required (medical exemptions only) - RNs must have valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission - References: 2 professional references required; at least 1 from a manager/director or supervisor - Urgent Ohio fingerprinting process — strict deadline (Tuesday prior to start) - Locals accepted at the same rate; current OSU employees are ineligible; former employees eligible after 6 months away
