Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – MS/Telemetry (CWR) Department: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Location: Manahawkin, New Jersey Shift: Night Schedule: 8-hour shifts Hours per Week: 36 Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting. This role involves assessing patient conditions, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and delivering evidence-based nursing interventions in alignment with professional nursing practice standards. Key Responsibilities • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care based on patient needs • Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care through initial and ongoing assessments • Initiate assessments based on patient condition, physician diagnosis, and functional health frameworks • Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage assigned patient care • Accurately document care according to standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities • Interpret cardiac rhythms and provide continuous telemetry monitoring • Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and effectively • Educate patients and families on care plans and treatment expectations • Advocate for evidence-based practice and support quality improvement initiatives • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams • Deliver patient-centric care aligned with the professional nursing practice model • Perform additional duties as assigned Required Skills & Experience • Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience • Proven clinical competency in: • Patient assessment • EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm analysis • Hemodynamic monitoring • IV insertion and therapy • Medication administration • Wound care • Patient and family education • Working knowledge of inpatient hospice care Required Soft Skills • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Ability to work effectively in a team environment • Attention to detail and clinical accuracy • Composure under pressure • Empathy, compassion, and adaptability Education Requirements Required: • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing Preferred: • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required Certifications & Licensure • Active New Jersey RN License or Multi-State Compact License • BLS (AHA) • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) • Telemetry Certification or Telemetry Competency Exam • ACLS • CEU – Contact Stroke (4 Hours) Work Requirements • Shift: Night • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend • Holiday Requirement: As needed • On-Call: None • Floating: As needed, within scope of competency • Scrub Color: Navy Blue Experience • Required: Minimum 1 year of experience • Preferred: 2+ years of experience For more details reach at sthakur@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 732 791 4807 - EXT 4807.
