Job Summary - NICU: As a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, you will demonstrate exceptional clinical competence through the nursing process, fostering a synergistic nurse-patient relationship. Your responsibilities will include assessing and identifying patient needs, developing personalized care plans, implementing interventions, and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided.
Qualifications:
• Education: Graduate of a nursing school; BSN or MSN preferred.
• Experience: One (1) year of RN experience and/or successful completion of The William W. Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program; two (2) or more years of experience in the NICU preferred.
License and Certification:
• Current unrestricted RN license in good standing in the State of Connecticut.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain and maintain department-specific certifications.
• Registered Nurse Core Certification (RNC - NIC or CCRN) preferred.
