Position: Registered Nurse (RN) New Graduate (February 2026 - May 2026 Graduate) Registered Nurse (RN) New Graduate (February 2026 - May 2026 Graduate) Inova Health is seeking new graduate registered nurses graduating February 2026 through May 2026 to join our one‑year New Graduate Residency Program. Our residency program is not a repeat of nursing school – it gives you ample opportunities to expand your clinical reasoning, communication, and leadership skills in the acute care setting. Program Summary Our New Graduate Residency focuses on preparing you for your nursing career. As a resident in this one‑year program, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your clinical reasoning, communication, and leadership skills in the acute care setting. Job Responsibilities • Makes clinical decisions based on experience, patient population data and intuition. Promotes clinical decision‑making development in all team members. • Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum. Counsels and acts as a resource to resolve issues and advocate for patients’ rights. • Integrates knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care, including patient and family education. • Collaborates in the development and implementation of an educational plan for identified needs. Demonstrates evidence of self‑development by obtaining a minimum of six formal contact hours. Maintains own Team Member Continuing Education Record. Minimum Qualifications • Experience: Less than one (1) year as a Registered Nurse (RN). • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Master of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN); or Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN). • If Associate Degree RN, the following requirements will apply: • Enroll in an accredited BSN program within 2 years of start date. • Complete BSN within 5 years of start date. • Licensure/Certification: • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start. • Positions available for various facilities, shifts and specialty areas.
