Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU Level III (Night Shift)

Legacy Personnel, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled NICU Registered Nurse to join our team at Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park. This is a premier per diem opportunity for a Level III neonatal expert who thrives in a high-acuity environment and is looking for a role that offers both high compensation and the stability of block booking.
Compensation & Schedule
• Pay Rate: $90.00 / hour
• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Employment Type: Per Diem (Up to 36 hours per week, including weekends)
• Scheduling Perk: Block booking available up to 3 weeks in advance.
The Role: Critical Care for the Tiniest Patients
In this Level III NICU setting, you will provide life-sustaining care to critically ill neonates, including premature infants and those with complex medical or surgical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• High-Acuity Monitoring: Provide continuous assessment and care for neonates requiring mechanical ventilation, CPAP, or high-flow oxygen.
• Delivery Room Response: Attend high-risk deliveries and provide immediate neonatal resuscitation and stabilization (NRP).
• Advanced Interventions: Manage umbilical lines, administer TPN, and titrate delicate neonatal medications with extreme precision.
• Developmental Care: Implement neuro-protective and family-centered care strategies to support the long-term growth of fragile infants.
• Family Education: Act as a primary resource for parents, providing emotional support and education on neonatal care and discharge readiness.
Qualifications & Requirements
We are looking for a specialist with current, high-level clinical expertise.
• Experience: 3+ years of NICU experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience (within the last 6 months) in a Level III NICU. * Licensure: Active California (CA) RN License.
• Certifications: Current NRP and BLS are mandatory (Must be included in your application packet). ACLS also required.
• Compliance: Valid Driver’s License/State ID and up-to-date vaccination records (MMR, TDAP, Varicella, and COVID-19).
