On our Shea unit, we deliver expert and compassionate care in a multi-level inpatient setting. Our 30-bed medical-surgical and telemetry unit is the heart of our department, complemented by additional beds for step-down/PCU and orthopedic patients. Position Summary: As a Registered Nurse, you will utilize your knowledge and experience through the nursing process to create individualized care plans addressing the physical, psychosocial, spiritual, cultural, educational, and developmental needs of patients.
• Experience: Familiarity with the nursing process and customer service principles. National certification in specialty preferred. Prior acute care hospital experience and IV skills are preferred. Secondary language skills are a plus.
• Licensure/Certification: Current BLS certification required. Certified in ACLS or willingness to complete within 3 months of employment. New graduates are required to complete PCU training within 6 months of hire; experienced RNs within 3 months, or successful completion of BKAT.
• Qualifications: Must possess current CT RN licensure or be in the process of obtaining it, along with being a graduate of an accredited nursing school.
