Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc.
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room (OR) team. The OR RN will play a critical role in supporting surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile environment, assisting surgeons, and ensuring optimal patient care before, during, and after surgery.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare the operating room for surgeries, ensuring proper instruments, equipment, and supplies are available.
Assess patient condition before surgery and verify surgical consent, allergies, and medical history.
Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields.
Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond to changes in vital signs or condition.
Coordinate postoperative recovery and hand-off communication to PACU staff.
Document all aspects of care according to regulatory and hospital guidelines.
Adhere to infection control practices, safety procedures, and OR protocols.
Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams for optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Active and unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
Minimum of 1–2 years of recent experience in an Operating Room setting.
BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR certification preferred.
Strong understanding of surgical asepsis and sterile technique.
Excellent communication, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure environments.
