
Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - MCK Brookings Clinic in Brookings, SD
Job Description
**Overview:**
Join the MCK Brookings Clinic team as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and play a vital role in providing compassionate and exceptional patient care. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with Dr. Kenric Malmberg, FP, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients. **Responsibilities:**
• Perform general nursing care to patients, including administering prescribed medications and treatments
• Coordinate patient care activities for the clinic
• Prepare equipment and assist providers during procedures, treatments, and examinations
• Observe, record, and report patient conditions and reactions to medications and treatments
• Oversee appointment scheduling and ensure timely flow of patients
• Greet patients, prepare them for physical examination, and document obtained information in patient charts
• Educate patients and families about diagnostic processes, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness
• Suggest solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints
• Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials
• Ensure appropriate labeling of pathology specimens and perform quality control and record maintenance on lab testing
• *Qualifications:**
• Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active license in the state of practice
• Ability to work the hours specified, with visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others
