Registered Nurse (RN) – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. The PACU RN plays a crucial role in caring for patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures, ensuring safe and effective recovery during the immediate postoperative phase. Job Responsibilities • Monitor patients as they recover from anesthesia, assessing airway, breathing, and circulation. • Administer medications, manage IVs, and provide pain and nausea relief post-surgery. • Identify and respond to potential complications or adverse reactions related to anesthesia or surgery. • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly. • Provide emotional support and education to patients and families about the recovery process. • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. • Adhere to PACU policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications • Active and unrestricted RN license in the applicable state. • Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience in PACU, critical care, or perioperative settings. • BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred for pediatric facilities. • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and monitoring skills. • Ability to respond effectively in urgent or emergency situations. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
