This position has an every other weekend and holiday rotation. The Charge Nurse provides and ensures that the highest degree of nursing care is provided in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations as well as the philosophy, policies and procedures of Eventide-Tabitha. Ideal Candidate • At least age 18. • Successful completion of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse program. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. • 6 months experience as an RN or LPN, preferred. • RN or LPN License in good standing as recorded on the Nebraska State Registry or other Nurse Compact state required. CPR required. Licenses/credentials must be kept up to date at the employee’s expense. Must meet Tabitha's vaccination requirements. • Follows physician’s orders in accordance with Tabitha’s policies and procedures. Receives and records physician’s orders when appropriate. • Prepares, administers, and/or supervises administration of medications, treatments and other nursing services as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures. Observes seniors/clients for any adverse reactions to medications. • Assesses seniors/clients for physical, mental and psychosocial status; reports condition changes promptly to the supervisor and coordinates follow-up with family and physician as directed. Records vital signs accurately. • Proactively observes skin condition to prevent pressure ulcers as per Tabitha policies. • Completes procedures and documents information on the senior’s/client’s medical record in a timely manner according to Tabitha’s policies and procedures; ensures accuracy and timeliness of documentation per department protocol. • Provides direction and monitors Med Aides who deliver medications; follows the comprehensive care plan for each senior/client. • Provides supervision and education to seniors/clients for self-administration of medications; assists in teaching the senior/client or caregiver the skills to return to home when applicable. • Assists in writing and updating a comprehensive nursing plan of care based on changes in the senior/client’s physical and/or emotional state. Compensation: Eventide | Tabitha offers a competitive starting pay range of $36-$40.32 per hour for RNs based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are available for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
